On this date, there were about 58,000 body shops in the US. Today, there are about 34,000 and the number shrinks every year. But don’t worry; repairing your collision-damaged car will not be a problem. It is also estimated that there are perhaps 20% more body shops in business than need be based on the current and projected future number of vehicle accidents.
