Collision repair is about people helping people

who find themselves in a difficult situation, often through no fault of their own. It’s not just about putting cars back together — it’s about making people whole again. The collision repair community — including body shops, paint, parts, equipment and insurance companies — has been doing this for a long time.

And sometimes, the collision industry goes above and beyond the call of duty to make things a little bit brighter for those less fortunate. This section honors the shops and suppliers that take that additional step.

Allstate and Sterling Autobody to Gift 20 Cars this Holiday Season

This holiday season, Allstate Insurance Company and Sterling Autobody Centers are donating more than 20 newly refurbished automobiles through the National Auto Body Council's (NABC) Recycled Rides Program. The vehicles have been restored by technicians at Sterling shops in nine states (Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Michigan, New York, Ohio, Texas and Utah) across the country. The cars are being gifted to non-profit organizations, individuals and families in need of a way to get around town.

Allstate Insurance Company and Sterling Autobody Centers have participated in the Recycled Rides initiative for the past five years and have refurbished and gifted more than 100 vehicles to date.

"Reliable transportation is something many of us take for granted," said Sterling Autobody Centers President Nick Notte. "We are proud to offer our time and resources to transform lives and touch families and organizations across the country. While the gift of a vehicle provides a practical means of transportation, what it really provides is hope"

Any collision shop, insurer, vendor, parts provider, or other company interested in participating in the Recycled Rides initiative is encouraged to contact NABC's administrative office at 1-888-667-7433 (888-66PRIDE) or visit www.autobodycouncil.org.
